In front of the Istanbul metropolitan municipal social facility in Küçükçekmece, a community energy project consisting of 2 dual axis 5000NT DEGER trackers, 2 500W wind turbines, and 2 USB-charged seating benches have been installed on the greenfield.
Each pole mounted unit is rated at 5kW, and uses MLD technology to optimize community space and resources. The combined output of the trackers makes available 17 MWh of electricity to the social facility and provides enough power to supply 4 homes. Additionally, 9.2 tons of carbon emissions are saved each year, where energy may otherwise have been generated through the burning of fossil fuels.
