Behind the powerful image of this project constructed with our customer Ülkü Meyvecilik, lies a great deal of self-generated solar power. The first dual-axis solar park in Turkey is has been completed in the city Tavas.
With 92 DEGERtracker D100 systems and a total capacity of 1MW, this solar power plant is now commissioned and connected to the power grid.
The city Tavas is located in southwestern Turkey, which is an earthquake prone region. Due to the geological activity and occasional earthquakes, the region is known to suffer ground movement and ground subsidence.
Despite these harsh project conditions, the DEGER tracker D100 with the patented MLD technology offers indisputable advantages over astronomical guided systems. Not only due to ground movement tolerance, but also a higher energy yield!
In the event of ground movement or ground subsidence, an entire astronomical solar project must be recalibrated and in the worst cases, the foundation and the full tracker has to be constructed again. A DEGERtracker with MLD technology and a concrete base will still be generating power by pointing to best possible sunlight source, despite any change in position. The D100 solar tracking system does not require realignment.
Since 2008, DEGERenergie has been active in the Turkish market and has already realized several successful projects. Further projects are already in the planning stage and will be implemented this year.
